WHERE is that pretty pink pleated skirt from and who’s the cutie modelling it, you ask?? That’s one of my best friends from high school, Jasmine (and the skirt is from H&M). She wouldn’t agree, but I think that she’s so talented at picking simple pieces that flatter and accentuate her figure, and altogether, look super chic. Sometimes she reminds me of classic movie stars like Audrey Hepburn, with her thin silhouette and class. Jasmine’s attitude towards fashion is much like her attitude toward life in general– she’s not afraid to experiment and try things that may seem too bold to others. That makes her such a fun friend to hang out with!
Jasmine asked if I wanted to check out a new restaurant–Hello 123, opened by the same people behind Toronto’s mega successful chain, Kupfert & Kim. So we met for pre-dinner drinks at the Drake Hotel’s Sky Yard patio (really stretched out those last patio days). We had a much needed girl’s night consisting of drinks, ice-cream before dinner (the best kind of friends do this with you), and an absolutely delicious meal at Hello 123 . We highly recommend the restaurant!! Even if you’re not vegan, you’ll love the food (Jasmine isn’t vegan, but is always down to try these places with me <3). The place is cute and cozy, with small tables that make for an intimate evening. Just remember to make a reservation– that’s what we forgot to do and why we ended up having ice cream before dinner, haha.
We’re really reminiscing on those mojito patio days… can you tell? : (
The Sky Yard has the coolest artwork and decor! Black and white animals, a colourful installation above, cute string lights, and an interesting light sculpture that lines the street (see below). A fun spot for great drinks & food, and probably really nice in the warmer months!! xx/Vic
p.s. the Drake fries are amazinggg!
